Hi Masshunter users,
We are considering to upgrade our MSD Chemstation E.02.02.1431 to Masshunter for single Quad.
Currently, we have to save one method for integration event set for every single individual EIC, so we need 10 methods to process 10 EICs for one sample data. That's a lot of work.
The main goal of upgrading is that we could use Masshunter to save integration events for multiple EICs (each EIC has its own integration events) of one SIM tested data in one processing method. So we would only need to use one method to process all the EICs. Does Masshunter has this processing function for our goal?
Yeah if you just need simple integration you can automate this using Qual. If you want to quantitate you would do it in Quantitative Analysis. Both packages come with the software.
With the MSDChemstation you can also assign separate integration parameters to each SIM mass for each analyte in the quantitation setup so you could do it all in one pass. On the Advanced tab of the analyte setup screen you can assign up to 4 masses per analyte and each can have a different integration parameter file associated with it.

In MassHunter in quantitation it works the same, each mass assigned to the analyte can have a different set of integrations parameters associated with it in the Quantitation software method. In the Qualitative software I think it would require separate methods to have separate integration parameters.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
Thanks a lot! Aldehyde and James.
