Dear all,

I would like to analyze polydimethylsiloxane and I think I can use HPLc-MS/MS but I cannot find application notes for it  . Have anybody analyzed this compound? I will really appreciate any comment or suggestion.

Thanks in Advance,

Carolina
Since PDMS are polymers size exclusion chromatography is most commonly used (toluene, chloroform or THF as mobile phase). To analyze any residual cyclics or other low molecular compounds GC-FID (or GC-MS) is the method of choice.
A nice little summary of various analytical techniques for PDMS can be found here:

Wyatt has one application note on their web site (application note #39):

Great!!!

Thanks a lot!!

Has anyone know of a method for quantification of PDMS using LC-MS?

Links broken. Anyone could share new infos ? I need to analysis PDMS too on HPLC MS. Anyone know their Precursor Ionz ? I have a c18 column. ACN/phosphoric acid 0,1 m.mol phase.
