Does any one knows a method for " Determination of Ethylene Glycol in aqueous environmental sample using GC-MS"
I have found one method which require deriviatazaion. I want t directly inject into GC-MS
I have done it before direct inject but it isn't the best thing for the MS injecting water. I was using an old HP5995 which had solid metal quads.

For best separation you will want to use a Wax column, Restek makes a StabilWax-MS column that has very low bleed which should work.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
Extracting it is nigh on impossible. We do what James does; direct injection onto a polar phase. Works for mono, di and tri ethylene glycols.
