- Receive a positively charged ion like H+
- Receive a negatively charged ion like H-
- Loose a neutral fragment like BOC
- Receive a nuetral fragment
- And it can be fragmented into 2 ions
I'd like to create a table with all of these included. But I don't know how to name such table. It would contain something like:
Code: Select all
Change | Effect on Analyte charge
[M+H] | +1
[M+Na] | +1
[M-BOC] | 0
Some people call them adducts (which doesn't seem to make sense when it's removed), others - fragments (which doesn't make sense when it's added). Is there some common term that would unite these?
