Is there an LC or GC in front of this MS?

I should have given more information. We have a Agilent 1260-Agilent 6530 QTOF.
I'm curious to known why nobody seems to use HCl to as a MS MP additive.

Can't be sure, but I'd strongly, strongly discourage it. Chloride's pretty awful for stainless steel, chloride salts will precipitate; I don't know which I'd feel least happy about, producing chlorine or HCl fumes to run through my delicate MS and vacuum pump.
