Hi all,
I met this problem when I tested the reproducibility using grob test mixture (three injections, diluted in DCM). The system I use is a GCxGC-ToFMS.

Some compound like Decane, undecane, Methyl caprate,.. have ~4% RSD
However, octanol, nonanal, 2,6-Xylidine have ~25% RSD

May I ask what could be the problem?

thank you!
We will need to know the column phases and sizes, oven temperature program, inlet parameters and any other information you can give to know where the problem may be. Many things can affect reproducibility.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
Do you have the 2,6-xylidene and nonanal in the same solution?
