Hello everyone, I do not know how many people are going to read this.

I am currently in the first year of my Ph.D. program in chemical engineering and the only student working on plastic upcycling.

When I joined the group, a postdoc and a grad student who was working on plastic upcycling left the school.

without anyone to train me, I was left alone to take care of everything.

to the point, sorry the intro was long and unnecessary, I need to bake out my Shimadzu GCMS column and I could not find any information to do it.

is there anything I need to be cautious of before or during the baking process?

Thank you very much

1. Keep inert carrier gas flowing 100% through the baking process.

2. Do NOT exceed the maximum temperature for the column or phase (information from the supplier)

3. Some columns can be reverse-flushed with solvent at room temperature (consult supplier).

4. Meanwhile: order a new column.
