I've been hearing about PFA's from fire fighting surfactants and how it may be the next big problem after PCB's.

Are any of you starting to do this work?
We are waiting for the UCMR5 list to be published, but we expect it to be heavy in those analytes using methods EPA533 and EPA537. Others in our group are already doing analysis using 537 and the 8xxx method that was released(cant remember the method number off the top of my head) for soils and surface waters.

It is definitely looking like the next big thing, but then so did pharma in the environment, but I think this has more traction.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
