Hi, I am currently creating a method based of of ASTM D7169.
I am using a PTV inlet.
my column diameters are as follows length 5M internal diameter 0.55mm and a film thickness of 0.15µm. my current column flow is 20ml/min He ( constant flow)

can someone please recommend flow rate starting conditions for the PTV.
should it be higher or lower than the column flow ?

Thanks in advance.

Chemiger,

The Simdis inlets I am used to are on-column. 20 mL/min is appropriate in that scenario. By implication, you have a splitter or purge flow as well?

Best regards,

AICMM
Hi Sorry for the late reply I haven't been working on the project for a while

I do not have a splitter on this system,I do have purge flow on.

Thanks,
Chemiger
