I am currently using a 6890 that has two inlets.
I have just fished using a method that uses the back Inlet (S/SL).
I am setting up the GC for a different method that uses the front inlet (PTV).
I have used this method before with no issues from the Instrument or software however today when I go to change to the front inlet it is shown as blanked out and I am unable to pick it as my Inlet for the method.
any Ideas what could be causing this ?

Thanks in advance.

Have you power cycled the GC to see if it just has a glitch?

The other thing you can do is use Edit Entire Method and go through and make sure it is set to use the second inlet. I have not had it lose the inlet before but have had it lose an autoinjector and have to go through the method edit to get it back.

Thanks for your reply James I will try editing the entire method.
How do you power cycle the GC ?

Just a hard boot, turning off the power for 15 seconds then powering back on. If it gets a glitch in the memory it can lose some settings that are brought back once the memory is refreshed with a reboot.
