GC Clarus 500

I am running Clarus 500. It has been have high tailing number and also the peak shape of the lowest standard is not symmetrically. I changed the liner and did cut the column end but it was not improve. Please advise any tips to trouble shooting these issue. TIA

How would I get the ghost peak disappeared which is in front of my lowest standard?

Is it ghost peak or solvent peak?
What is the analyte of interest and what column phase and size are you using?
What is your oven program and injection temperature? What is column flow rate and carrier gas? Type of detector and inlet parameters are also important to know to trouble shoot problem.

The compound that I analyzed is ethylene oxide and ethylene chlorohydrin. I use total chrom software. The oven and injector is 185C. It is FID Detector. The carrier gas is Helium and column flow rate is 25
