Internal Standard for BT (residual solvent test)

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

Hello all,

I am testing butane, propane, and isobutane for purity and BTEX and residual solvent components. I am considering using fluorobenzene as an internal standard in my GC-FID set up. Is this the best internal standard to use to avoid co-elution? Does anyone do similar testing and use the same or a different internal standard?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Mariah
