Hi, I have a problem here which I could not fix. What happened was that I used to run the samples using black bead on the NPD detector and the standards and samples gave decent response. However recently, the NPD detector did not give any peak for the analyte.

The analyte we tested for is phosphorus compound .

After that I asked the engineer to come down to change the bead to blos bead and clean the jet and change the collector funnel etc.

However since blos bead recommended flow rate for air is 120ml/min but my old method flow rate for air is 60ml/min may I check if anyone has the experience of running a flow rate for air 60ml/min using blos bead?
You should have no problem running with 60mL air, that is the recommendation in the agilent guide (see below, pg 191)
