Empower3- Agilent HS-GC

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

Good morning,
I am using an HS-GC method, developed on chemestation, to our head-space instrument HS-GC 7697A, connected to Empower 3.
I using 20 ml head space vials with 1 ml of standard solution containing CHCl3 + DMF + 100uL of H2O.
When inject the diluent, 1ml of 1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (without 100uL of H2O), the injections take place without problems, but when inject the standard solutions the instrument goes to error.
The error that gives me the instrument is "vial leak", at the time of the sample extraction.
I suppose that the error derives from the parameters of method setting such as:
vial paramenter or loop parameter.
Can someone give me some suggestions on how to set them?
For example is better set: fill with constant volume, fill at flow to pressure or fill to pressure in the vials parameters?
Thank you,
Gianna
hi
maybe due to the high expansion coeff of water

try leak test on HP 6797 or test vials in hot water

if a leak you will see bubbles escaping from sealed vial

hand crimped or automatic crimping ?
