Hey Guys,

I have a problem with my residual solvent determination with headspace injection.

I use an agilent G1888 Headspace with Agilent 6890 GC / FID detection

This is how the chromatogramm is supposed to look like

This happens in 1 out of 20 injections

Could somebody help me out?

I already changed both needles of the HS Sampler, the septas, the liner in the GC, and the column.

Should i change the detektor?
It looks like really bad concentration overloading. Please show us chromaotgrams where we can see the vertical scale bar.

Doubt it's the detector. It would be helpful if you sent the conditions, GC and headspace. Column and size etc.
