I am quite certain you are going to struggle to ever make this work. The Varian ECD was not made for the Agilent GC. You will need to purchase the Agilent ECD for the Agilent system.

You are wasting your time trying to install a Varian ECD detector onto an Agilent 7890. Each manufacturer has unique electronics which are NOT compatible.
