We've just blown the dust off our GC here at the brewery and I was hoping that someone would have an old version of ChemStation that would work with the G2070BA model of our 6890N GC. Relying on the fact our registration number still works..

Any help in this regard is more than welcome!

Suggestions for third party cheap (or freeware) that would recognize the R232 input would be awesome as well!

Thanks,
Grayson

B.01.01, not GC model/of our 6890N GC. Relying on the fact our registration number still works /they don't expire/.

Why would you need an 'old' ChemStation version as this system is supported even up to the current version of OpenLab CDS 2?
The only thing you need to pay attention to is the type of Injector which is on it. The old ones (with a separate controller box and IEEE) are not supported
Being a 6890N it is already LAN based so i see no issues there.

He would need to check whether his 6890N firmware has to be updated if installing newer versions of ChemStation.
