Hi everyone,

Can OCI-PTV (on-column Injection-Pressure Temperature Vaporizer )inlet be used in place of COC inlet?

We have one GC with OCI-PVT inlet, is it the same as COC?

A PTV (Programmed Temperature Vaporizer) inlet can be used in place of a Cool On-Column injector for some applications but it is not the same as a COC. The devil is in the details of why an application needs COC as opposed to a vaporizing injection.

Some PTV inlets have an optional liner that allows them to do CoC injections, but it depends on what PTV inlet it is.

PTV can sometimes mimic CoC, but CoC can not do all the things a PTV can do.

Thanks to all for replying.
