VOCs in blood - compound choice & sampling questions

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

I'm about to start a project studying VOCs in blood using GC-ion trap MS - two questions for the forum:

1 - BTEX, MTBE and several other of the "usual suspects" have been mooted as target compounds - any thoughts on others to include to broaden the project scope?;
2 - any thoughts / experience on a "clean" ( ie free of common VOCs) blood sampling product (a "vaccutainer"-type thing) on the market?

Separationally,
Mike.

Hi Mike,

Get in touch. I have recently started analysing BTEX, MTBE and TPH in groundwater.
