Hello Everyone.

I seek help regarding choice of column that can help me to analyse carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, methane, ethene, ethane and propylene in my gas mixture. I want a good lower detection limit of 10 - 20 ppm of these gases. I read carboxen can work out. Please suggest if any specific column can be used.

DGA - the key word, your gases used to be analysed in transfromer oil.

Typically the system consists of two sampling loops which simultaneously inject sample in two packed columns:
* Molesieve connected to TCD for determination of permanent gases (N2, H2, O2) with Ar as carrier. He is unsuitable for big H2 concentration - you get negative H2 peak.
* Hayesep S connected to FID with methanizer (CO and CO2 converted to methane on Ni catalyst) with He or Ar as carrier.
