Chromatogram is weird... any ideas?

Hi,

We tried to measure MTBE and different alcohols with a GC and instead of serious results we get the exact same periodical chromatogram everytime:

Every 1.5mins there is a very high peak with over 30000 counts. Right after that follows a peak 3000 counts and a peak with approx. 300 counts. Looks like some sort of test run to me...

What could be the reason for that? What could we do?

The reason is that you have the test signal selected rather than the detector signal.
