Dear all,

I have a pressure problem in the FID column. The pressure setted is 22 PSI, but the real pressure fluctuates quickly from 19 to 23 PSI. I have no idea what could be in wrong. I didn't find any leaks.

thank you!
Is the column head pressure fluctating or the pressure of the fuel of the FID?

Hi gstaepels! thank you for the reply.

Is the column head pressure. I use Argon as carrier gas and H2 as fuel gas.
It is very likely that you have a problem with the carrier gas pressure controller. Unless you are comfortable with trouble shooting and fiddling with the insides of a GC I suggest that you ask for a service call.
