Longtime Agilent person, forced to use Shimadzu. Is it just me or is Shimadzu calibration impossible?

I'm always off an order of magnitude, or the density of a solvent, or some other factor. There are no instructions specific to the HS-20, nor does the manual address calibration of this instrument. It is becoming increasingly frustrating because I keep getting wrong numbers.

Does the standard get entered with no dilution factor or mass, and does the calibration column get populated with the mass of analyte per mL or per what unit?

Any help?
