Dear Community,

A friend and I would like to produce edible products with a new design and taste (e.g. biscuits, cookies). For quality management, we need to pay attention to the ingredients, especially in the beginning. Unfortunately, neither of us are chemists and we don't know anything about this. Could you help us to find a gas chromatograph that would be suitable for us? We have a solid substance (e.g. cookies) and would like to be able to test the ingredients in the mg range. The fineness or measurand in mg is sufficient for us.

Thank you very much for your help and have a wonderful Sunday.

Stan
The chromatograph type/model in your case does not matter AT ALL.

You need a human with corresponding education - i.e. food technology.
And that human would chose chromatograph with HSS.
It would depend on what you are wanting to monitor in the food.

THC, Fats, Pesticides, Flavorings, all can require a different detector and preparation method.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
Gas chromatography works for only a tiny minority of the ingredients in nearly all foods. You need the help of a specialist laboratory.
