Hello,

I'm following the UNI11788:2020 for the analysis of SVOC-VOC on flexible material.
But its not reported the oven program of GC_MS, someone knows which program temperature must be follow in order to evaluate voc and svoc after extraction n headspace?

Thanks
Hi Nicolo,
in order to evaluate all your compounds, I would start nice and slow, 4C/min form 40C until 250C.
Then evaluate your test samples and maybe speed up, to 10C/C in the area of the TIC where there are no peaks....
Hope this helps,
Cheers
Ilena
Try as you prefer and check If all your analytes are separated.
If not play a little with rates and temperatures and you will find the right oven diagram.
If you need to know the border from VOC to SVOC it is well known that the border is about a boiling point of 250C°, so for example you can inject n-tetradecane as separator.
