hi everyone
we have to analyse BTEX by GC-FID, we have a GC(brand:DANI) with pona cp sil column and and a GC(brand:DANI) with cp wax 52 CB column.

now i want to know is that possible to determine BTEX by GC-FID in rang 1 ug/m3 to 200 ug/m3 ?

according to test method 1501 NIOSH
typical detection limts (more or less) for an FID is about 1 ng on column. So I don't think you can do 1ug/m3 unless you do some form of concentration. My suspicion, you mentioned NIOSH, is that you really should pull litres of air onto a carbon tube or other adsorbent and then desorb the tube either thermally or with a solvent.

Hi. Table 4 of mentioned method gives you LOD and measurement range for BTEX directly.
