We have to make manual injections of gaseous samples onto GCs from time to time. Automation is not practical in this case.
I prefer the side-port point style 5 for manual injections of gases onto GCs and a 500uL 1700 series syringe with the "SsampleLock" option.
Point style 2 (bent bevel) is the traditional option I understand. I realize it shoudl be better for liquid samples.
Do you pre-pressurize the sample as recommended by Hamilton in their SampleLock Syringe Guide? We have had mixed results with that.
