Hello,
i'am trying to make a method for acrylic acid in CS2 on GC-FID (DB-WAX column, 30n, 0,53mm, 1um). This is the method:

40*C for 1 min
30*C/min to 225*C
FID temperature: 200*C
inlet temperature: 190*C

I have a problem with carbon disulfide - this solvent give really dirty chromatogram (only on my DB-WAX column CS2 in a higher temperature shows a lot of small peaks.. - LOOK AT THE PICTURE IN LINK - it looks like it is dirty, but I know that in lower tmperature chromatogram of CS2 on DB-WAX looks OK! Also chromatogram of CS2 on other column (RTX-624) at temperature 220*C looks nice (without small peaks).
Have you any ideal what could be bad with that? How change it? I can make the method in lower temp (max. 120*C) and hold in about 15 min, but in this program acrylic acid is tailing a lot..
