Hi all,

I'm setting up a method validation for GC-MS detection of volatiles in a few food matrices and am deciding on the appropriate measurements for intermediate precision acceptance criteria.

Most of the methods I've come across pool replicates run by different analysts/on different days and set a threshold level for the RSD, but I've also seen absolute difference of the mean used as well (though this was for an HPLC-MS method).

Being new to the GC, I'm not sure which measurement and what thresholds would be most appropriate (I'm assuming there is more room for variation on GC relative to HPLC-MS.) I'd appreciate any thoughts the community has!
