The GC has just been installed and hookup to a data network shared with 2 other similar GCs, with a Star Workstation ,in the network, as the common control station.

GC Type: Varian 3800

The problem:
Can't run it full cycle. Comes up with series of error messages like: Faulted, Probe too fast, Zone 5 overtemperature, airleak......

Any suggestions?

Hi Phil,

is switching the GC "ON" after few minutes the system ready?
If yes, check Your methods, gas pressure and flow settings. Also zone temperatures have to be controlled. (including limits)
Disconnect the Workstation (the GC 3800 remembers the last method) and try to start again. If error messages again check every line in the method setup. If no mistake call the Varian customer service.
