Does anyone have any experience with pyr-gc furnaces for polymer analysis? Where to buy one and if they can be used with FID instead of MS?

Not sure if it is the same thing, but 30 years ago in college I used a Pyroprobe on an old Varian GC with FID to do pyrolysis studies on coal. You should be able to use it with any detector if you have one to fit the GC inlet. It is just a different sample introduction method and should be independent of the detector that is being used.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
