Hi all,

My name is Tinie from Top Glove. I am new in using headspace GCFID.
I would like to seek opinion.
I would like to identify solvent peak. no method created as this is first time run.

My question is, how to set condition for headspace and gcfid if i dont have article or paper as reference?

Hope to get a reply from experience people from this forum.

Thank You.
It is very unlikely that nobody has ever done an analysis similar to yours. If you cannot find an exact match, look for something similar and use that as a starting point.

This method us used mostly for pharmaceutical work but can be adopted to just about any headspace analysis for residual solvents. You may need an account with USP to get the full method, I am not certain about it, but this can give you a starting point.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
