Pierce C18 tips vs. home made StageTips/microcolumns

Hi all,
Do you have some experience of these C18 tips from Pierce:

I am wondering if they are as robust and good as homemade StageTips/microcolumns?
Also, I wonder, where do you buy C18 (and preferably SCX) material for making you own StageTips/microcolumns? Do you have a special tool to cut out and place the C18 minidisk into the tip?
