Google for "Carrez solutions". We often use them mostly for HPLC sample preparation. Carrez II contains zinc sulphate. Together with Carrez I it forms a precipitate to which high-molecular weight stuff adsorb.
You can buy Carrez solutions premade, or make them yourself.
