I wonder if some one has recommendation of which solvent is best for disolving the Butyric acid for making standards. I know its water micsible, but the matter is I would like to disolve it with other long chain fatty acids to make a mixture of standards. I did disolve it once with methanol:chloroform 1:2 but not sure if it is completely dissolved in the solvent or not. and beides I prefer a single solvent rather than a bianary one.
