Do anyone have any idea with how to extract saccharin from water samples using solid phase extraction? I had tried to acidify the water samples to pH 1 then passed through oasis hlb cartridges at 5mL per minute but I could not recover any saccharin! :|

I appreciate any help from any fellow forum users.

Thank you for reading! :)

Why is there need to extract the saccharine? With its structure, should have decent UV absorbance if you're just trying to quantitate the level.

Have you tried it at a neutral pH?

I see it sometimes in wastewater samples done by sepfunnel extraction but have never done it by solid phase, though it should work.

Maybe try a plain C18 on silica cartridge also.
