Stability of Benzo(a)pyrene-D12

Has anyone looked at the stability of Benzo(a)pyrene-D12 when used as a surrogate spike when dissolved in Acetone versus Methanol? We seem to keep losing the surrogate while doing 525.3 extractions and I am wondering if it could possibly be breaking down in the Acetone or if I should switch to using Methanol as the solvent?

Has anyone tried it in both and found different results?

Where you ever able to find an answer to this question? I'm looking for guidance on the stability of BaP in acetone as well.

We still use acetone, but I have switched to storing the spike in a miniert vial to minimize evaporation and a dark label to protect it from light and the stability seems much better.
