Hi guys,
I need to assay the content of Fosfomycin (sodium) in some our products. I have searched for the methods on google and some references, which showed Fosfomycin has very low absorbance at UV range.
But there's only a classical HPLC system (Agilent 1200) with ODS column and UV detector in our lab. I've tried a few methods to assay Fosfomycin by HPLC but it seems inefficient. Can someone help me to solve this?
Thank you.
Search for a derivatization procedure that introduces UV absorbing group to the molecule or use indirect UV detection.

hello,
have you found any solution of quantification of fosfomycin calcium in drug.
i have hplc UV and can not have results.
please I need your help
thank you
Fosfomycin is not UV active. You can use an alternative technique like ELSD, CAD or MS:

If you have only UV, then you might want to try indirect detection/derivatization procedure with something like pentafluorobenzyl bromide or acridine. You can also analyze fosfomycin by GC as bistrimethylsilyl derivative.

Please contact us if you want Helix to develop a method for you.

My opinions might be bias, but I have about 1000 examples to support them. Check our website for new science and applications
