Hi

I wanted to throw out a question, just asking for folks general experience with graphite columns (sold by Thermo and by Zirchrom). I think this may have been discussed on the forum before, but then again, I didn't find much when I searched.

The literature on these columns makes clear that one has to use certain additives or there will be poor peak shapes and - in the worst cases - one may see analytes irreversibly binding to the column. DEA and TFA are the additives that seem to be most commonly used.

I basically was interested to hear the experiences of people using these columns for different applications. And in particular what additives did you find to be particularly useful, and at what concentrations.

Much Thanks in advance, for sharing
