Dear Chromatographers ,

Pl suggest a procedure for disposal of used LC columns.

For silica columns, you could dissolve the silica material in strong Alkali then rinse the metal components and place in the apprpriate recycling.
Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
Our column suppliers/manufacturers have always been more than happy to take our old columns off us for recycling in some way.
We are offering a recycling program for columns from all manufacturers:

My opinions might be bias, but I have about 1000 examples to support them. Check our website for new science and applications
