Empower 2 doesn't activate the Waters UPLC sample injector

In Single injection mode, I click the "prepare" button, the system was set up per the method, but the injector was not activated when I clicked the "inject" button. Data was acquired. No injection was made by the injector.
There is no such a problem when I run samples in the sample set mode (sample table).
Any idea? Thanks.
