My problem is when a gradient is run, it doesn't go to the next step.Just doing the first line of gradient in Agilent 1200 HPLC. Any suggestions? Could this be MCGV?

Double check your run time in your sample set, and make sure its not set to lower than the the time required to make the first switch.
Also, make sure the gradient curve in the second line is not set to 11- if so, no change will take place until the end time of the second curve event.
