Does anyone on the forum know a good HPLC column that will separate Haloacetic acids? Currently I'm using an Agilent Poroshell 120 EC-C18 (100mm X 4.6mm ID X 2.7µm df) and the Agilent 6140 MSD (API-ES, Negative Polarity). My mobile phases consist of 0.1% Formic acid in water as MP A and 0.1% Formic acid in Methanol:Acetonitrile (1:1) as MP B. I'm trying to achieve better separation so as to facilitate quantitation and identification. If anyone knows a better LC-MS method and/or column please drop me a line.
Thanks.
