Hello,

I just started to develop a HPLC Assay method for the determination of Cetrimide and was wondering if someone here knows the pKA-value of Cetrimide? So far I failed in finding a pKa-value anywhere even under its other names such as Alkyltrimethylammonium Bromide.

Many thanks in advance!

The alkyltrimethylammonium part is permanently ionized so to all intents and purposes it doesn't have a pKa. Bromide has a pKa somewhere around -9, so it also is permanently ionized to all intents and purposes.
