Depends on who's using the term. Neither are "official".
Generally, "solvent front" is used as a synonym for the change in baseline that occurs at the dead time of the column (t0). Look at the thread "Unsure with some terms..." for a couple of examples.
"peak front" generally refers to the leading (left) edge of a peak. A "fronting" peak has a shallow slope on the leading edge and a steeper slope on the trailing edge. A "tailing" peak (more common) has a steep slope on the leading edge and a shallow slope on the trailing edge.
