One of our HPLCs (Agilent) appears to be experiencing occasional misinjection issues, as evidenced by no or very little response at the analyte retention time. (Most of the misinjections are with verified analytical standards, so we know how much should be there.) This seems to be most prevalent at the first or second injection of the day, and after that, it can run for many injections with no problem, even with a sample it has previously misinjected. Then the next time we run something, it happens again. I've kind of inherited our HPLC maintenance from a departed co-worker,and I don't have a lot of experience in troubleshooting thing such as autosamplers. Any ideas of where to start? Thanks.
Rotor seal of the injector may need replacement.
