Hello everyone,

We had just recently got an "SIL ERR HPV HOME" error on the SIL-30AC autosampler of our Shimadzu, during analysis of a batch of samples just after the 6th sample finished.

I'm trying to figure out if there is something I could do to fix it, before I call the service. The instrument is rather new (1,5 years), well maintained with not too many injections, so I would be surprised if the high pressure valve rotor failed.
I read that these things should last about 20000 injections...

Any of you ever encountered a similar problem? Or you have any suggestions on how to fix?

Someone was discussing on a different thread that if this error comes on, a "small, thin, green panel with an optical sensor" located above the HPV should be cleaned. However, that was a SIL-20AC and mine is a SIL-30AC, and I can't find any sensor that I could clean.

Thank you!
