Is there any way to get press quality graphics of MSD chemstation chromatograms?

Export the raw data to Excel or something else that can do plotting, and then plot signal vs time. Beware this gives very big graphics files.

The "Clip windownumber" command puts a copy of the graphics window into the clip board - from there it may be pasted where ever you like. The quality may be debatable.

I'm with Peter Apps on this; for publication-quality chromatograms I've never found any better approach on either LC or GC chemstation. When you consider the hard work you've done in making the analysis, you may as well show it at its best rather than hideously pixelated with distorted bad lettering.

You didn't mention the revision of ChemStation, but you can convert the graphics to a Windows Meta File, which is high quality graphics. We do that for publication all the time with GC and LC ChemStation.

Not sure on MSD ChemStation, but GC, LC, and LCMS, on the install disk is a \UCL subdirectory, browse to \UCL\LC_UCL and open folder 5. It should have 'Tools.mac'. If not, you have an older version, so search for the folder with Tools.mac.

Copy all files EXCEPT Readme.txt to C:\Chem32\Core or C:\HPChem\Core. In ChemStation, on the command line enter: Macro Tools.mac

OK the disclaimer and you have a new menu - Tools. Load your chromatogram, click on the Chromatogram window, then select Graphics > Window to Windows MetaFile, and name the file. The WMF file is high quality graphics which can be used for publication.
