I've been using Empower 3 MVM for a couple of years. Assuming that you're using Empower 3 as your chromatography software then the biggest advantage of MVM is that it's part of Empower. A validation study will contain all of the data for the validation except whatever's in the notebook, essentially. It contains configured validation tests where sample set method(s) then sample set(s) then result set(s) are attached to each test and used to generate validation results. The reporting functionality is essentially the same as for Empower generally but with new report groups for MVM. The RS can be signed of as usual and also reports for the validation results can be signed off level 1 and/or 2 in the same way. Approvals can be required at multiple steps and the entire validation study gets approved in the end, locking all of the data in one highly compliant package.

Note that a LOT of improvements were made to MVM between Empower 2 and Empower 3, a lot more with Empower 3 FR2 and a few useful improvements with Empower 3 FR2 SR2. I don't really recommend MVM with Empower 2, only with Empower 3, probably FR2 really and with SR2 ideally.

Hope this helps.
