I don't want to get into the long story of why I don't have a service tech setup/install.. I am setting up our GC/MS system right now and everything is moving but stuck on the connection between the MS and GC. There is a DB-9 (serial/RS-232 type) cable that connects to the rear of the MS and goes into the GC where it breaksout into wires to connect to the TB1 pinouts. The manuals all say to connect it there but the cable that way supplied has 4 wires and a 2-pin connector with 2 wires (total 6 wires, 4 free, 2 in connector). Any one have insight on what wires go where?

Manual says its the GC start cable that connects to pins 7 and 8 on TB1.. No other info than that. I'm still waiting to hear back from perkinelmer but figured I'd see if anyone here know..

Thanks.
Hi Diesel,

I'm having the exact same problem, now 5 years later than you. It's probably a long shot that you'll even see this message, but did you find the solution? We need to know where the assorted coloured pins go and whether there's any connection for the 2-pin connector.
